Jan. 2001: Happy New Year.
Fri Night Fights****** 1st race was JimmyZ in his coupe vrs a 97 GT w/ a S-strim , JimmyZ's copue w/ spray went 2-0 against the blower car. Then Arnold w/ his SVT countor raced AJ's CRX with the SVT going 2-0.. Kudos to the WFO crew. 2 of the 351 powered stangs were seen out also Phil and Brain were seen playing around a lil. **Note Brains Stang has ran 11.60 on all MOTOR before and Phils has ran 11.80 on motor , Hector in the Regal was seen leaving a huge fuggin smoke show from Moe's TINT has the cop's were bustinga ricer at the other end of the strip. All in all it was a good nite, except for the guys from out of town wanting to race for $$$$, they quickly changed there mind...Geeze some people.

November 2001:
Friday 3rd: Rivercity Results..... WE got to see the anticipated Matchup between the 2 big blocks Elky Vs. Ben with the Elky on top 10.90 to Bens 11.30. The Elky hit 10.90@122; Benny 11.20; MC 12.01; Brian in the Eclipse went 12.40 @116 with a 2.2 60 foot damn and thats a 4 "banger". Jerry "Jiggier" went 12.50's all night long, That dude Jeff with the SN96 procharged stang was seen jacking a huge wheelie and ran a 12.30. Kyle's stocker 86 stang ran 14.76 about 15 times in a row. Donnie in the 81 malibu "bens bro" ran mid 12's also. Also Bernie Dean was there in his 4x4 F-350 powerstroke, he had some 1.9 60 ft's and ran 16.0's.. You should have seen this thing launch in 4 wheel drive, it looked like it bunny hopped all the wheels off the ground.

March 2001:
Friday 9th: Rivercity Results..... Cam made one pass "taking it easy" with a 10.97 @ 124 mph PaCeMaKeR went 10.84 and a 10.83 @ 126 mph with 1.46 60ft. Yes it pulled the fook out of the wheels, and Cam yanked a bad ass wheelie also, and the WFO POncho was seen kicin sum ass. Looks like Phil may be car of the month in March also. Cam raced him on the street and was no match for him. Nacho could'nt beat him. I wonder if anyone can? Can Mike in the black SS do it? Where is this Bobby from Autotech guy at? I heard he is supposed to have a street car that runs low 10's, can he beat Phil? Don't tell me you guys are going to let Phil be unbeatin all year?

February 2001:

Sat. 10th: Phil with Pacmaker is now the car of the month. Will he be the car of the year and not get beat? Phil beat the previous car of the month (Nacho) without to much trouble. Both cars had on slicks and both cars are members of the WFO racing team. Phil got the jump. It was a fair hands down take off, thanks to the flagger Fat Rat. Phil just got the reaction down. He jumped out a good car before Nacho knew what was up. At the moment of launch I think I heard Nacho say "DAMN". Phil was movin. It was a cool chilly 50 degree night. Not a good night for nitrous but good for super chargers and such, regardless Nacho could not catch Phil. Nacho was whistling away but just could not whistle fast enough to catch that nitrous. About half way or so down the track Pacemaker just shut down that bottle for he was already a couple of cars out. No need wasting a good thing, save some for when you really might need it. Pace maintained the 2 car or so led through the finish line. Nacho was car of the month since Oct. 2000, for about 4 months straight no one else could beat this guy. Finally Phil got his car back together and came in for the takedown. Pacemaker is now the fastest real street car in Corpus Christi. But don't take The Observers word for it. See the race on video and judge for yourself. Also an added extra bonus, the end of the race from Nachoes point of view, also on video. How long will Phil have the fastest car in Corpus? Can anyone stop this Crostown Ford mechanic? Can a ford really be this fast, are is there a chevy motor lurking under that hood?

Paraphrases from The Observer.
Video thanks to Paul Madzookie

Other action that happened that same night: Robert WFO raced a Fast Times coupe, both on the gas and slicks , the coupe had problmes but there is always next week. Mike H raced a fast times heavy chevy AGAIN and Mike H won. Would have been more races but the cops were a little heavy last night.

Sat. Feb. 17:
Well Edinburg was ok. PHil and the rest of us were a little dissapointed that he only got 2 passes in the 2 hours and 45 minutes that we were there. that stupid truck trophy class crap they had going on took all the track time. He did manage to rip off a 11.09 at 124 on the spray. He didn't spin on that pass but said that he granny shifted third due to almost missing it on his first pass. It was still moving though. only one more .10 for that 10.99 pass. Brians car ran better than I thought it would. his pass were a 11.78@121 and 11.63@122 "ON MOTOR". I thought that was awsome. Well good going guys and I hope the next time we go to the track its in SA and hopefully my car will be there to join in the fun. I think we need to plan a big WFO turnout in SA like we used to in Edinburg.

Saturday Night:
Main event was Shawn (LT1 Silver Convertible z28 on some BIG A$$ drag radials)raced WFO Jay (with ?Cassie? and his Green over Titanum GT on some crusty 17" tires)...the bottle was verified as missing in action from the GT after two close races, with the GT closing the gap and passing on the second...thats about all...the po po was out in force tonight, I counted over 8 cars leaving the races...about 6 were en-route to the race site. Be careful out there guys, I hope next weekend doesn't suck as bad as this one did. I have a feelingthere will be one or two new cars for the "fast" cars to play with. Hefley better bring a bottle.

  WFO Krylon

Shawn with the silver convertible z28 was arrested after leaveing the gas station for raceing on a road way arrangments are being made to bail him out as i write also the policia were kind enough to escort all of us visitors aransas pass and ingelside guys to crosstown before droping persuit

January 2001:

Sat. 13th: Sonic was packed there was a butt load of cars, The only race was Phil and Brain , both cars sporting 351's . Phil borrowed Krylons ET streets and Brain was on Phil's old ET drags. The race was over at the 60 ft as Brain put 2 links on PaCe and never looked back. They raced twice and Brain beat PaCe by several car links. Phil complained of not being able to hook up and of carb problems, But run what ya brung and hope ya brung enough.one the way home a R6 challenged Phil and Brain , Phil raced the R6 first and one by a car link [ already had changed to the BFG's] Then Brian raced the R6 and lost by a bike link or so ,due to confusion on the starting line and having 30 psi in the slicks. Rumors are PaCe and Brain will be testing and tunning tomorrow at Odem drag way, where the traction is awesome, and i think Phil is gonna borrow Brians carb. You would figure with all the cars that showed up there would have been more than just people racing.

OCT 2000:

first race was between the Nerd"VEGA" and Hefty "Monte Carlo" both were on the dope..The Monte was using a 355 w/ a fogger and the vega was using well, the truth well never be told, so lets just assume it was alot. the vega got out in front and beat the Monte, but the sprinkler system made for a interesting shut down, it was hairy! The the WFO Fire bird raced the Hefty Monte "firebird was on BF's" both cars on the dope the WFO Firebird pulled hard from the line and kept going, i think the monte ran out of the "LIQUID COURAGE"

Iggy (nacho) "white GT doin the wheelie " raced the Nerd "bad ass yellow car above" from a roll, the Nerd gave Iggy the move "bad idea even though the Nerd was on ET Meats and Iggy was on BF's .. The Procharged car took his big jump and continued to charge hard and the Vega was really hauling ass but could not catch nacho after the big jump Nerd let him have at the start, but when they prematurely shut down the WFO Stang was still out in front , and Hefty in his Monte carlo was blocking Nerds lane talking on his cell phone, "was he ordering a pizza" ? who knows , but for all of you that didnt go out sat. night ya missed a dam good show .... Hopefully Black Death, PaCeMaKeR, Orange Peeler, will be back out soon!!!!! After the race Nerds car had to be pulled to Outlaw Performance because of a blown head gasket. He was probably using nitrous? Something he rarely, if ever, does.
Anyone wanting to take Nachoes place as the car of the month you can. All you have to do is beat him. Any takers? The VEGA will be ready soon for a rematch if Nacho is up for it.
Nacho is a member of the WFO.

Krylon vs. Orange Peeler was postponed, due to some confusion, a bad starter, and another race.

A blue coupe with a DSS 306, Stage 3 TFS heads, Big Blue Racer Cam, and All the good go fast $hit (his GT40 intake was his only "restriction") took Orange peelers place. Thanks for letting me know what was inside it before the race Phil. :\

Anyways...we went out there...did our business, we raced and it was ugly, about 4-5 car lengths and he wasn't coming around. On the way back we played around from a roll and the car obviously made some power. We got back around 2PM, and just about everyone had left. Sorry for the confusion Steve...we'll rematch soon enough.

As far as I know, that was ALL that happened. Damn this town sucks.

Friday night Krylon was proclaimed a "Pu$$y" by the whole wicked street gang :*(. THEN a Certain Monte Carlo wanted some on the juice. So I spent the day at MG Auto/Outlaw Performance/T&A Paint&Body getting the car ready to stomp some a$$. Unfortunately, neither Orange Peeler nor the Monte showed up...SO Krylon ran Ber't Big Bad Blue Chevy Truck. 3x's. Don't let him fool you, that thing can move. First time neither of us had traction...but I think I caught him at the end...not really a clearly marked 1/4...second time I let him take off..might've given him too much room, cause I didn't catch him till the 2nd driveway :\. Third race was heads up and Krylon left him hard outta the hole. Turns out his truck was running hot, so he let off. A few really fast cars were out, but I didn't make it till 1AM, and they were already gone :(.

TEXAS JAM TUNING

Well, Ward with the 15.50 Lightning got ambitious yesterday, loaded up the Ol' Lightning on the trailer and he, Cam, and Outlaw Performance himself(Bernie) took a trip to the Dyno...Texas Jam Style. Apparently, they arrived around 10:30AM, and quicky prepped the Blown Truck for the dyno pulls...baseline was about 400hp to the wheels...pump gas. After asking Bernie a few questions about the speedbrain software and how to operate it, the tuning process began. A few pulls later, Murillo decided to add some fuel pressure via the Cartech FMU he sells in his shop, yet turned it the wrong way(despite some argument/correction from OP)and pulled pressure. During the following dyno pull, the fuel pressure dropped from 62psi to about 50 and the A/F leaned out like a sombitch. Needless to say, when Bernie suggested Murillo back off the throttle a few words were exchanged. Bernie backed off and let the master tune away...8 HOURS later, the combination was at its "Max" according to TXJam- 477horsepower on pump gas.

In went the race gas, and after a few more passes, it went 488hp to the wheels. Murillo at that point folded up his computer and dyno, claimed that was PEAK performance and proceded to collect the fee ($125/hour). About 3 hours later at Rivercity, Ward let Bernie do a lil tuning after the first two passes (12.24@110...2x's) were a little disappointing...in true OP fashion, Bernie shaved .3 sec and 4 mph off of the TXJam "Max performance" tune with timing a fuel...no wideband, no dyno...just experience and knowledge. Thats right, the big red lightning went 11.95@114...the stickers Murillo provided with a 5% discount will soon be replaced with "Screwed by" where "tuned by" now resides over TXjam.

December 1999: Phil ran a 11.08 at 125 mph in Edinburg. He used a 200 shot of nitrous and slicks. He is ready for the Vega?

November 1999: Some folks went to Edinburg to race at that track. Phil ran a 11.50 with nitro. Donnie blew his engine.Thats all I know. On the street Bernie lost to Phil. The Vega beat Mike in the copper mustang with white stripes.

Bernie Dean and his brother Fat Rat(mike) in a stock 98 camaro LS-1, the purple one, has been winning most of the street racing lately. I cannot remember all the cars they have beat but I can tell you it has been many. The last one I remember bernie beating this weekend was a red 9? mustang that runs 12.9's at the track. Rat beat a 9? corvette. They have lost a few races but not to many. Tony in his chevelle beat phil in denises mustang. Mike heefle in his monte carlo beat Tony by 2 or 3 cars.. On another weekend Bert in his chevelle beat Mikes monte carlo by a couple of cars or so.

July: Street racing news. The vega got to race some 93 mustang from Houston. They raced on
staples the mustang had on slicks and the vega had street tires. The vega won by about a car. The loser, the mustang guy was the biggest cry baby I have ever seen. He lost the race not once but twice and still continued to cry a lot. What a sore loser. He promised to be back next week and really show us how to race, but he did'nt show. No biggie, who wants to race a sorry loser anyways? The next week the vega ran Nacho in the white super charged white mustang. The vega and the mustang where both on street tires. It was some close races but the vega became the winner.
Race track news:

Bud    12.85   black mustang with blue flames on front
Josh    12.75   red mustang
Ward  12.07   Red ford Lightning truck
Denise 13.23   black mustang
Phil      12.84   in Denises black mustang
Some,  12.49   green road runner
Steve? 12.35   orange 6? camaro with 2 white stripes
Dude   14.07   yellow 1970 Vette
Chick  13.03   green Chevy nova

May 1999: Street racing news. Everyone now seems to be hanging out at the new Sonic on Staples. This month so far
Bert wiith the 67 Chevell raced Steve in the orange 69 camaro(runs low 12's). The orange camaro had slicks and Bert
had street tires on. From a stop the camaro won by about a fender, from a roll the chevell won.
Fat Rat in his black GrandNationl raced a brown 78 camero(runs low 13's). Fat Rat easilly won by a car or two.
Chris with the yellow vett with BF drag radials raced yellow new suped upGT Mustang. Chris lost by a car. A red and
black mustang raced and the red one won.

Febuary 1999: Race Track opened for test & tune. Here is some of the times that I saw, this does not mean these are these guys fastest times, there just the ones I seen. They were not announcing the times even though they had some speakers set up, so I got them from the time tickets that I could see. The racing conditions were good. There was a slight wind. The temperature was 78, humidity 71%, pressure 29.90.

Times: I think everyone had slicks, except Robby.

Bruce   12.28 Chev. S-10
Donnie 11.20 White mustang blue stripes
Kevin   12.00 green camaro
Phil      11.30 black mustang
Quick  11.69 silver mustang
Robby 13.20 red firebird

In Victoria the guy with the 69 mach 1 that runs 10's raced his car but i had to leave and missed the race........the chop top orange truck was gonna race this guys 9 second pinto with a 468ci big block and it was tubbed and had weelie bars but the cops showed up and they did not get to race.......it was a great night though.                 by Richard Hengst

Jan 1999: Lots of folks from Corpus Christi went to Victoria again. Lots of racing went on all night long. Race till you drop in Victoria. No cops ever came to bother us all night long. It was cold but fun. I think Kevin with the green camaro was the winner of them all. He beat a 6? white camaro from Victoria. The white camaro was beatin em all till Keven came along with his nitrous and took him out. Kevin is the man. The Vega did not go, I think he's scared. I think Donnies blower belt came off.

Dec 98: Everyone hanging out at Albertsons got a ticket for being there and trying to stay out of trouble. That will teach us to be good.
